Thriftanistas! I can’t believe it’s been a year since my last trip to NYC! This time around I’m going with my cousin and her friend from South Africa and my little sister (now 21 and able to barhop with the best of us).
In my typical fashion, I’ve spent weeks agonizing about what to pack in order to minimize extra stuff (and make space for any purchases) and also look chic and edgy enough to look street-style ready.
Usually, since I’m a very visual learner, and like sticking to a color palette, I plan out everything I’m going to wear by drawing it out. I was in AP art in highschool so it’s also pretty fun for me.

In my suitcase:
Faux suede and leather ankle booties: Old Navy, $24 on sale
Thigh-high boots: JustFab, $39.95
Oversized Cardigan: Forever21, $24
Pink Coat: Eva Mendes for New York and Company, Goodwill, $10 on SuperSaver Saturday
Faux Leather Leggings: MeMoi Pleather Chic Legging, Rue La La, $25
Infinity Scarf: H&M, Free from a clothing swap
Printed Dress: Ivanka Trump, ThredUp.com. $18 with discount, originally $24.99 (new with tags!!)
Parka: H&M, $60 last season
Side zip sweater: (not pictured): Kaisley, Goodwill, +/- $10
Cowl neck sweater: Style & Co., Twice, $11
Fleece long-sleeve undershirt: Cuddle Duds, $10
Silky lace cami: H&M, $12 (this season)
Textured mini: Banana Republic, Twice. $17.95
