Monday, April 9:

Equal Pay Day Kickoff Happy Hour at District Winery

Join Lean In DC on April 9th – the night before Equal Pay Day – as we host our annual kickoff happy hour at District Winery! You’ll hear from a variety of equal pay advocates who are working to narrow the gender wage gap and learn what you can do to support equal pay. This event is free to attend but space is limited – you must RSVP in advance to gain admission.

Grit in the District: Self-Care for Entrepreneurs, presented by Ringlet

We’re all about that self-care and as creatives and entrepreneurs it’s easy to let it fall by the way-side. Sometimes (and by “sometimes” we mean most times) things like sleep, relaxation and recharging can feel like unattainable luxuries. Join RINGLET, Brief Assembly and our incredible speakers for an evening of shopping, drinks, treats and a discussion on the nitty-gritty of self-care as an entrepreneur.

After so much talk around our first workshop on Instagram stories, we’re back with the next in our instagram series: Copywriting!Does word choice really matter on Instagram (and social media at-large)? How do we get across the right message with such a finite space on Instagram stories?Our panel of incredible social media-centric women and copywriters will spills their secrets on word choice, hashtags, digital storytelling and finally settle the debate on long vs. short captions. Focusing on caption writing, syntax for instagram stories and digital storytelling, we’ll be sure to send you off at the end of the night teeming with ideas.
