Every holiday I bring a huge bag to my parents house because I know what will happen…inevitably I’ll fill whatever bag I bring (and three more) with presents, after Christmas Walmart discount treasures, and leftovers. Plus, who likes to be uncomfy when they’re just chilling at home with their fam? Not this girl.
When I found this jumpsuit at Target (A New Day Line) I knew I’d found a forever friend. Not only is it classic black, it also has all the curvy girl necessities: A shallow V-neckline, cinching in the waist, plenty of room for those hips, and a balanced wide leg. Plus…this baby has POCKETS!
It has now been around the world for me (check out how I styled it in Paris), and has become my go-to for days when I need to go to work and then straight out to events. It’s super packable, doesn’t wrinkle, and goes with literally everything. If you don’t already have a go-to jumpsuit in your closet, let me convince you….

Edgy glam for Holiday Parties, Blogger Events, and Cocktail Hour
I paired the jumpsuit (underneath) with my classic Neiman Marcus tuxedo jacket that I picked up a couple years ago from Goodwill. One of my favorite ways to make outfits look vastly different, especially for fancy nights out, is to vary the textures in an outfit, here you’ll see I paired velvet shoes and contrasted them against the satin in the jacket, and the heavy beading of the necklace. This whole outfit (except the jumpsuit) is thrifted!
Jacket: Neiman Marcus (vintage) from Goodwill, Necklace: local artist made, picked up from Current Boutique in Clarendon, Shoes: Old Navy, picked up from Goodwill.

Ingenue classic for dates and times when you might run into your hometown ex at a coffee shop
This look is perfect for when you think you miggghhhhht run into your hometown ex at the mall or some local bar in your town. It also works for fun dates if you happen to be taking your boo back home for the holiday.
Scarf: Vintage, Shoes: A New Day Target, $27.99. Sunglasses: Mint Condition in Old Town Alexandria.

Comfy chic for window shopping, and checking out the lights with your family (not pictured here: hot chocolate)
I always seem to be a little too well fed and sleepy when I’m hanging with my family, and this outfit perfectly compliments that cozy “I’d rather not change out of my PJ’s” vibe. Throw on a textured sweater, a cocoon coat, an oversized tote to hold all your holiday treasures, and a blanket scarf. Add some height with a sleek bootie. This is an outfit that FEELS like PJ’s but reads as sleek.
Coat: H&M (old), Scarf: Forever 21 (old), Bag: Saks Fifth Avenue (thrifted), Booties: Old Navy (similar here), Sweater: from some store in Williamsburg *shrug*, Sunnies: My favorite bus lady, Gogo’s!
